Divorced Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, the producer of multiple award winning movie, Jenifa, has come out to douse the rumours that she now has a new loverand has actually moved into the guy's apartment in Chevron Estate, Lekki, Lagos.
When the news broke yesterday, it quickly went viral as many magazines and blogs fed on it but later in the day, the much sought after 36 years old actress and movie producer's publicist came out with a refutation of the story via a press release.
The press statement reads:
«The idea that Funke has moved into an apartment is vain-glorious to make it a media issue, just as it is condescending to claim any imaginary lover paid for the apartment.
«The star appreciates the concern of fans and a section of the media on this matter of the heart, and pleads for understanding as she continues to concentrate her creative energy on her career and immediate family.
Funke also had this to say:
«In the past few months, I have enjoyed tremendous love from my fans, family and brands that I represent.
«I cherish every second I get to spend with my colleagues on sets because it has been rewarding. I look forward to many more precious moments in the years ahead.
